Ladies and Gentlemen,

This is officially the best F1 season on record: six different winners in 6 races, and it’s only getting better and better. Red Bull got its third successive victory in Monaco with Webber corroborating there’s no other place but pole to win this race. The caliber of the driving was superb; these amazing guys do not make mistakes even under the most intense and insane bumper to bumper racing.

On our side we registered the first repeat winner this season, Uwe, and now he is seriously running away with the Championship. He was very comfortable in the lead most of last year only to choke in the final stages, but this time around he is sailing into the distance while the rest of us except Maria are consistently struggling.
Uwe has won this race with a season-high 13 points, Fernando was second with 12 points, they both scored 4 gold scores, only the second time we reach that number after Uwe’s performance in Australia. The closest we got to them was two 3-pointers by Rocco, Ricardo & I (9p) and Maria & Manbos (8p). The rest continued with the 2012 pattern of scoring below the low all time average of 6 points. It’s brutal.

Making the smart choice of betting on the poleman 8 members predicted the win by Webber; the season is so competitive that we registered seven different drivers as possible winners! We scored 8 hits as well with Alonso in third, and after that our best paying position was Massa in 6th with 4 votes.

The Championship has become a one man race, Uwe’s lead is so big that we can send him in a holiday for a few weeks and still won’t catch him. We have never seen anything like it. Maria, although losing ground (54 to 45) is the only one keeping the chase. Joe (41) stays 3rd with Fernando now climbing to 4th (40). With Manbos and Rocco (39) at the , the next group comprises 13 members within 5 points! Even the fight for the basement is very close, rookie Ian at the bottom (28) is only 2 points at the back of the next 3 colleagues and only 9 behind the thick of the battle for 7th place.

Next comes the always exciting Canadian GP in two weeks time (8-10 June) where the largest gathering of CFA members (eight) will be in attendance. As you can imagine, we’re all counting the minutes in anticipation.

As always it’s great to have you on board, sharing what is truly an unbelievable Grand Prix season.

We’ll connect again in 2 weeks.

Cheers

Cato
