Australian GP 2013 - Preview

by Cato Batista, 15/03/2013 4:11:55

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The first battle of the year starts tomorrow, and more than any time in the past, nobody has a clear idea on who’s got the best car.
Pre-season testing in general is very deceiving at best, but this time and after thousands of kilometres of lapping around Jerez and Barcelona we are completely in the dark because the temperatures were too low to get significant data from the new range of Pirelli tyres.
The top teams are playing low key ...

Start of the 2013 Season - Invitation

by Cato Batista, 15/03/2013 4:09:16

Dear colleagues Maria, Alberto, Carlos, Curro, Erik, Fernando, Fredrik, Manbos, Ian, IanM, Joe, Lou, Matias, Ricardo, Ricky, Rocco, Rodrigo, Santiago, Sebastian, Tim, Uwe, and now Roger;

Finally!

The magic moment has arrived, the 2013 Season starts this coming Friday in Australia!

And forgive me if I am more excited than usual but I think this could be the best Formula 1 year we'd ever had for several reasons: there are 5 potential race-winning teams –Red Bull, McLaren, Ferrari, Lotus & Mercedes-; there are only few minor changes in the regulations before the new engines are introduced next year that will spread out the field and it would be years before all the teams are technically very close again; and because Pirelli has a ...

Brasil GP 2012 - Results - Guzman's third win, Rocco is Champ

by Cato Batista, 26/11/2012 2:32:56

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Racing doesn’t get more intense than this. It was a thrilling GP, a nail biter full of changes, spectacular action and wheel to wheel dicing up and down the field. An extraordinarily tough race, 71 laps on the edge of the knife with no room for error in the most treacherous conditions for us to appreciate the unbelievable talent of the best drivers in the world.  Button won the battle, Vettel the war by 3 points with a charge from last to 6th, his third consecutive crown.

Manbos has won the final round of this amazing season with a triple gold score -2nd-3rd-6th – to reach 11 points and leaving the rest of us with only single digit marks. His third win gives him the most number of GP victories of 2012. Closest to him were Joe & Rocco in 9 points, this last one sealing the title in fine style (or we should say Joe Jr.)

Our overwhelming favorite for victory was the unluckiest driver of the year, Hamilton. He had 19 of our votes, the remaining 3 going to eventual winner Button (Joe, Alberto & Fernando). Other 3 members forecast Vettel in his final 6th spot (Manbos, Ricky and me); our best paying position was Webber in 5th (7 of you) and Alonso in second (6 of us). Nobody got the fifth place (Hulkenberg) and only one, Manbos scored with f-Massa in 3rd to mark the difference in Brazil. (He is not driving like f-Massa anymore...)

The new CFA Champion is Rocco, or the power behind the throne little Joe. Their ...
