Ladies and Gentlemen,
Welcome to the 4th round of the Championship, the 3rd edition of the Russian GP.
Sochi is one the most unappealing, dull circuits ever in F1, but curiously enough, it provided one of the most entertaining races last year. HAM has won the previous 2 editions but the World Champ hasn’t won a GP since he clinched the title last October in Texas, it has been ROS who has won every since race since. If Nico wins his 7th GP in succession he will write his name next to Schumacher (2004), Vettel (nine in a row in 2013) and Alberto Ascari (1952/53) the only drivers in history with 7 consecutive victories. ROS is the first driver to start a season with 3 wins since Schumacher in 2004.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Qualifying has returned to normality and it’s very entertaining again. Mercedes has one car at each end of the grid; RIC’s Red Bull beat the Ferraris to share front row to make 2 Red Bull, 2 Toro Rosso, 2 Force India and 1 Williams in the top 10.
ROS was flawless in Q2 and Q3 placing his Benz half a second in front in the partially wet track, but HAM had an MGU-H (power unit) that prevented him to post a time in Q1. He could start either from the pitlane or 22nd on the grid, the team has opted for the last option to give “him more opportunity to overtake into the first corner”. RIC nailed a fantastic last minute lap to push RAI and VET to the second row. It was an eventful QF session that started in wet track conditions. In the last moments of Q2 HUL’s Force India lost a wheel (for what he's being penalized) ending the session prematurely for ...
Chinese GP 2016 - QF by Cato Batista, 15/04/2016 18:59:42 Ladies and Gentlemen, It wasn’t the typical Friday today, and not only by having Ferrari on top of the timesheets, it was a day packed with technical problems for the all teams struggling to find the balance on the Pirelli tyres. As VET put it: “(Shanghai) is quite brutal on tyres, I was sliding a lot and there was a lot of degradation” Even RAI, the fastest man today say “it was a quite a difficult day overall, I was struggling to get grip on the tyres due to the wind...I was sliding a lot and this feeling was not very nice”. Pirelli has brought the same combo as the two previous races: ...
Chinese GP 2016 - Preview by Cato Batista, 14/04/2016 19:44:22 Ladies and Gentlemen, We are heading to Shanghai this weekend for the third round of the season, the 13th edition of the Chinese GP. Relevant developments from the last few days (and hours): we are reverting to the old and proven QF system, ALO has been provisionally cleared to take part in the race and HAM will lose 5 grid starting positions for a gearbox replacement. So the QF format of the last several years will be back to stay (for now at least). I find encouraging that for the first time we saw all the 11 teams together opposing Bernie and Jean in a rare display of unity to impose what they and the drivers consider is best ...
