2015 Hungarian GP - Race

by Cato Batista, 25/07/2015 19:27:09

Ladies and Gentlemen,

With Lewis in command in every session Mercedes has locked up yet another front row. Nico, who has been chasing the right balance all weekend was not able to challenge his teammate finishing more than half a second in arrears. VET finally got the Ferrari to his liking in the last practice session and will start 3rd, not too far from ROS but just 35 hundredths clear of the winner of the race last year RIC who’s Red Bull is looking better than anywhere else so far this season. RAI & BOT will form an all Finnish third row, with KVY & MAS behind in the fourth and closing the top 10 there are one Toro Rosso and one Lotus with VER and GRO.

It’s was not going to be easy pick for QF as we knew it, only 3 colleagues figured out the top 3 - Curro, Rocco & I. Points came in pairs to everybody else from 1st & 2nd except for Rodrigo, the only one to take a valiant chance reversing the established Lewis-Nico traditional order.

2015 Hungarian GP - QF

by Cato Batista, 24/07/2015 19:54:11

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Back to business as usual for Mercedes with Champ Lewis setting the pace on both sessions, but the Red Bull cars are emerging as their closest challenger. The headlight news today was the spectacular accident by PER in the Force India from which fortunately he walked away unscathed. The car snapped on corner exit sending it to the inner barrier and then flipping it over on impact as it cut one of its loose wheel underneath. Take a look (thanks Uwe):

Ladies and Gentlemen,

After a long 3-week waiting period the Hungarian GP is coming up,  the 10th round -halfway point in the calendar.

This will be an emotional weekend. News from the F1 never stop but everything became irrelevant when last Friday we learned of the passing of Jules Bianchi nine months after his accident in Suzuka. We knew how serious his injuries were but the terrible news of his death were just as devastating. He was a recognized talent among his peers and for the outpour of support from the F1 community we know of his quality as human being. He was the first casualty in F1 since that dark weekend in ...

2015 British GP - Race

by Cato Batista, 04/07/2015 19:13:28

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The Mercedes boys deleighted us with another fierce battle for the pole with Lewis coming out on top by 1.1 tenths of a second. Their Mercedes were not the easiest cars to drive as we’ve seen all year but still left the competition 7 long tenths behind, in this case the Williams cars that had no problem beating the Ferraris to take the second row. Both Red Bull, one Toro Rosso (SAI) and HUL in the new ‘B-spec’ Force India closed the top 10 in Q3.

Our QF results were bad, this time we can blame the 2 seconds  Williams was able to find overnight to push Ferrari back to third row and setting up a tantalizing battle for ‘best of the rest’ tomorrow. Half the CFA score 2 points and the other half nothing (except Uwe who bet for countryman VET to take pole and ended with 1 point). To give you an idea how close our Championship is read more
