Ladies and Gentlemen,
Seventh straight pole for HAM, his 11th in 12 races, but Ferrari is closer than anticipated and for once Kimi is ahead of Sebastian as they pushed Nico to the 4th slot. Williams showed off their real pace when it counts (Q3) to grab the third row with MAS ahead of BOT. PER’s Force India was half a second behind the white cars and half a second ahead of GRO’s Lotus in row 5; HUL’s sister VJM08 broke down in Q3 leaving the German in 9th ahead of ERI’s Sauber.
Our CFA results had practically no impact on the standings as all of us (except the always brave Alberto, Carlos & Fredrik) choose almost the same combo for a yield of 2 points.

After Spa Francorchamps we are moving to the other great Cathedral of speed in Monza for the Italian GP this weekend, the 12th race of season.
Many relevant news came in the last 2 weeks, from the drivers’ concerns about the safety of Pirelli tyres, the publishing of the team's’ financial figures with Lotus near bankruptcy in the limelight, the drivers’ market, and most importantly for this weekend the list of drivers taking grid penalties for going over their engine allowance.
Both Red Bull drivers RIC and KVY as well as Toro Rosso’s SAI will take on their 6th Renault unit of the season incurring 10-grid penalties, a terrible setback after both teams were so ...

But the best racing was the fantastic battle for the last podium step with great drives from GRO, KVY, PER, MAS (finishing in that order from 3rd down) plus VET, RAI, VER and RIC. With the silver machines disappearing into the distance the chasing pack, very closely matched, was immersed in a game of high speed racing strategy.
