2015 Mexican GP - Results- Lorenzo's second win, more lead changes

by Cato Batista, 02/11/2015 4:53:15

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Finally Nico put one up on Lewis, his first win since Austria 9 races ago. You really wonder if HAM was his hungry-for-victory usual self, he’s been deservedly in party mood, enjoying himself in the Mexican festivities. BOT climb to the third step of the podium taking revenge on RAI when they disputed the same piece of tarmac. If the Russian disagreement was not still fresh in their minds they might had found a little room for each other. As it happens, this was the first time since 2006 that both Ferraris were DNFs, and today the cars were not to blame for it. VET had a very eventful day that ended up in the wall after a rather scrappy drive. Good drives by the Red Bull pair for 4th & 5th to stay ahead of MAS’s more powerful Williams. Ladies and Gentlemen,

Since Friday Nico has been consistently a bit quicker than Lewis. He’ll start at the front tomorrow beating his teammate by less than 2 tenths, his 4 consecutive pole. VET is 3rd but as usual this year, the other Ferrari suffered all the mechanical problems and will line up near the back. The Red Bulls are next separated by 1 thousandth of a second followed by the 2 Williams, impressive rookie VER and the Force Indias, with local hero PER once again better than HUL.

Ferrari never really shines on Fridays, but they are still good for 5th & 6th ahead of Williams and McLaren (no, no a type error)

The Pirelli compound selection seems to be too hard and ...

Ladies and Gentlemen,

And then there were 3 left…

After 23 years the F1 is coming back to Mexico for the 17th round of the season this weekend.

It used to be one of truly great circuits of the world, now that’s been pasteurized by Arq.Tilke to comply with modern standards we’ve no idea how the new layout will turn out to be. We’re crossing our fingers ...
