Ladies and Gentlemen,


The Mercedes guys had splitted Friday’s sessions but in general the vast majority of the practice time was devoted to race simulation setup, only the first 30 minutes of P1 when the teams have to use a set of primes (before being returned to Pirelli) there was action on light fuel thanks. Ladies and Gentlemen,


We are going to the 13th and last European round of the season at the legendary Monza circuit.

The build up in the last two weeks since de Nico-Lewis coming together at Spa will make this GP a tense affair between the 2 championship contenders. We may find out what the new internal policy Mercedes will apply from now on; in one side they assert that their drivers are still free to race each other but on the other they simply can’t afford to lose another race like in Belgium. 2014 Belgian GP - Race

Ladies and Gentlemen,


A wet track made for the most difficult QF session. Tyre selection between full wets and intermediates was a gamble, plus the very high speeds of Spa made the braking points a guessing game, a problem compounded by this year’s brake-by-wire systems. It was impossible to get a good lap but the advantage that Mercedes enjoys kept Nico & Lewis (in that order - 3 tenths apart) well clear of the rest. Red Bull used their great downforce-low drag package to climb to the top five with the combative Alonso between them, although the difference from Vettel to the front row was an abysmal 2 seconds. Williams, McLaren and Kimi’s sister Ferrari  secured the rest of the top 10 spots.
