Ladies and Gentlemen,
This time is Nico’s turn to start at the front. Lewis couldn’t match his times, perhaps crashing in P3 had something to do with it. Williams locked the second row with its prodigious top speed. Alonso is sharing third row with Ricciardo, the McLarens are in row 4, Vettel and Raikkonen close the top 10. But this time the press room was more interested in the latest silly season news: Vettel is leaving Red Bull and is expected to move to Ferrari. Interestingly Ron Dennis went public to say that McLaren has not signed Alonso and at the same time Niki Lauda declared that Mercedes wants to keep the same drivers. There’s more to come from all of this, for sure. As one of us said: Ferrari, at least for now, has 3 World Champions in its payroll.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Fridays are following the pattern of lately with Mercedes ahead of ALO, although this time the huge advantage of the Silver cars over the rest came as a shock. But the news are coming from the paddock rather than the track: Ferrari and ALO are heading for an imminent divorce. It’s not clear who’s leaving who but it seems it’s just a matter of days, hours for both parties to announce their split. When that happens the most expected outcome is for the Spaniard to join McLaren as requested by Honda; Ferrari in turn will aim for VET and Red Bull is not worried about it, at all.
