Mercedes is in front of Ferrari, all normal, the surprise was to find the Renault-powered cars right behind them in both free sessions today.

Ladies and Gentlemen,


It’s time again, let’s get in “Grand Prix state of mind”, the Spanish GP is coming up this weekend.


The most interesting news from the last 3 weeks are the never-ending tale of the driver’s market. Since HAM has not-resigned for Mercedes all kinds of speculation is going around. The latest, if you believe it, is that the current Champion is going to sign for Ferrari, a rumor that keeps growing because RAI’s contract runs out this season. New boss Arrivabene has said he likes Williams star driver BOT, meanwhile he keeps postponing to make a decision on Kimi’s to keep him motivated, “he drives better that way” he says. One of our members with connections at the highest level has the explanation for all this contract delays: HAM wants number 1 status within Mercedes, the same benefit VET signed with at Ferrari and ALO at McLaren.

Ladies and Gentlemen,


Fourth straight pole for HAM but this time VET denied Mercedes of another front row lockout. Ferrari is edging closer and closer to Mercedes. ROS blamed the wrong choice of tyres (used primes instead of a new set) for his Q3 attempt, but the fact is that the red cars are now challenging the silver ones in raw speed, not only in race pace.

Ladies and Gentlemen,


Mercedes was on top when it really counts: in P2 when temperature conditions were similar to those expected at race time. But Ferrari is again very close and their long-stint laptimes could be a real threat to Mercedes.

Nico is looking to score his 3rd straight pole in Sakhir and this time he is going faster than Lewis. The German topped the timesheets on soft tyres in the second floodlit session 0.115 seconds ahead of his teammate, the difference was a small mistake by HAM locking up a front tyre into ...
