Ladies and Gentlemen,
Home boy ROS has the pole, he has been on top in every session since Friday. HAM was faster in sectors 1 & 2 but fell 1 tenth to the flag. Make that 47 poles by Mercedes in the last 50 GPs. By pairs Red Bull and Ferrari will line up in rows 2 & 3, RIC ahead of VER and for once RAI ahead of VET. Force India and Williams are splitting the last 2 rows. Mercedes was 3 tenths faster than Red Bull, then another 3 tenths to Ferrari, and then 2 tenths to HUL-BOT-PER. These last 3 only separated by thousands of a second.

German GP 2016 - QF

Ladies and Gentlemen,
This was a repeat of most Fridays: Mercedes in front with Nico ahead of Lewis followed by a mix of Ferrari and Red Bull. McLaren claims is now the “4th team” but in reality it looks more like Force India has more chances (if any) to challenge the ‘big 3’. Toro Rosso was faster than Williams but in a power circuit like this expect the white cars to move up a few places tomorrow. Track temperatures were low to the benefit of Red Bull and Force India, but not good for Ferrari and Williams. Mercedes? They have no problem, either with different compound choices of track temperatures, they are miles ahead. The forecast for the next 2 days calls for similar conditions as today’s, but it has changed to a ‘very low’ probability of precipitation.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Seventh front row by Mercedes this season, but it wasn’t as easy as it sounds. A heavy downpour at the start of the session made for a very wild QF. Q1 was interrupted by 4 red flags, Q2 started on inters and ended up in slicks. The ever changing conditions almost caught HAM out but he just made it to Q3, not so for RAI and PER. In the final shootout it all came down to the very last lap and then ALO spun out in front of HAM, but ROS, even if had to lift for the yellow flags, was able to secure pole by one and a half tenths. Red Bull has the second row with RIC finally ahead than VER, but the Dutch kid has been impressive so far, he was 2 thousandths of a second behind ROS in FP3!. VET will share 3rd row with the other impressive kid SAI in the Toro Rosso, and then kind of a surprise to find McLaren with 2 cars in row 4 (perhaps because this circuit ...
