2014 Canadian GP - QF

by Cato Batista, 07/06/2014 5:40:34

Ladies and Gentlemen,

First reports from the field are better than you’d expect. The engines don’t sound that bad, now you can hear the tires and brakes working!, ‘it’s a new experience’. CFA Colleagues at the track today welcome the new F1s, “they are more fun to watch” as they demand all the talent from the best drivers. Renault and Ferrari sound the best, Renault when at full song in the straights and Ferrari pulling out on corner exit. Mercedes sounds terrible but they are super quick; braking, traction, power, the whole package.
Ferrari has send the message that all efforts are now going to the 2015 car. ALO beat the Mercedes this morning to make the large crowd happy for a few hours. Montreal is Ferrari town.

The super-soft came out in FP2 and Lewis was 2 tenths faster than Nico. Reb Bull is next best with VET 3rd and 4th but RIC had mechanical problems missing setup time. Ferrari follows just ahead of Williams but not too far from Red Bull with McLaren and Toro Rosso fighting for the last 2 spots in top 10.

P1- ALO (1.17.238) HAM ROS VET BOT RIC BUT MAG RAI VER
P2 - HAM (16.118) ROS VET RAI ALO MAS BOT MAG BUT VER

Montreal is a place where HAM excels, if the car is stable under braking he is at his best. The question is who’s third?
Santiago is leading the QF department with 11 points, I’m next with 10.

Cato - HAM ROS VET

 Enjoy!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Time to get in Grand Prix mood. We are going to Canada for the 7th round of the season.

There’s an old saying in Formula 1 that your worst enemy is your teammate, and that’s absolutely true within each team from the front to the back of the field. But of course when either HAM or ROS are on their way to become the 2014 World Champion all the attention is focused on them.

The smiles lasted until Monaco, seems that Lewis has the divine right to win every time and he wasn’t happy with Nico’s tactics, but according to Race Steward Derek Warwick Nico’s reputation as a fair and honest driver was the deciding factor to believe his innocence. ...

2014 Monaco GP - Race

by Cato Batista, 24/05/2014 19:09:03

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The pole went to ROS but he is under investigation after going off causing a yellow flag in the final moments of QF. The shootout was a battle of hundreds, no tenths of a second between Mercedes teammates and HAM was up in the first sector by 2 hunderds when ROS slid down at the escape road braking for Mirabeu. HAM was adamant that he would have taken the pole but for ROS’s  accident. Red Bull and Ferrari qualified by pairs in the second and third rows respectively; both Toro Rosso drivers made it into Q3 with impressive Rookie KVY in 9th in his first visit here, one McLaren (MAG, his first time here also) and one Force India (PER) rounded off the top 10.

In our side we had mixed results. Three of us collected full QF plenums -Santiago, rookie Iain and myself- three more got 2 points -Joe, Sebastian and rookie Lorenzo- and then we ...
